Visit types

Who we come for

One plan for each kind of visit, with the time it takes and what is different about it.

  • Book early

    Bridal party

The morning-of table for the bride, her party and the mothers. Nails are done before hair and makeup finish, and we work around the photographer.

    • 2–3 hours for a party of six

    • Deposit holds the date

    • Colors chosen a week ahead

  • Teams

    Office day

A conference room, a sign-up sheet and 45-minute slots. Guests book their own time, and we keep the line moving so no one is away long.

    • 3–5 hours, weekdays

    • One table per technician

    • Removal booked on the sheet

  • Weekends

    Birthday table

A long table, towels over the sofa and a color for each guest. Polish and simple gel for guests of any age with an adult in the room.

    • 2–3 hours for a party of six

    • Deposit holds the date

    • Colors picked on the day

  • Ask us

    Showers and reunions

A smaller table for a baby shower, a bachelorette or a family reunion, in a home or a hall. We plan it the same way as a bridal party.

    • 2–3 hours

    • Hands, with feet if there are seats

What the host provides

Four things to set out

We bring the lamp, the case, the towels and the tools. This is the rest.

  • A table

About the size of a card table, with clear space around it. A kitchen table or a folding table works.

  • A chair each

One for each guest, and one more for the technician if you have it. A stool is fine for hands.

  • An outlet and light

An outlet within reach of the table for the lamp, and daylight or a bright room so we see the color.

  • A clear floor spot

Room for a towel, and a seat with feet down for any guest who wants a pedicure. Pets go in another room.

Timing and lamp time

How long a visit takes

Two technicians work side by side, one guest at a time each.

  1. 01
    30 min

    Step 1: Set-up

We arrive about 30 minutes before the first guest to lay out the table, the lamp and the case.

  2. 02
    30 min a guest

    Step 2: Polish

A classic manicure takes about 30 minutes a guest. Polish needs time to set, so we ask guests to keep their hands still for a few minutes after.

  3. 03
    45 min a guest

Step 3: Gel and lamp time

A gel manicure takes about 45 minutes a guest because each coat sets under the lamp, so nails are set when we pack up.

  4. 04
    90 min a guest

    Step 4: Sets

Soft-gel extensions take about 90 minutes a guest, so we plan them as their own visit.

Removal

Removal is booked in advance for groups

Gel and soft-gel need time to come off gently, and that time has to be in the plan.

Tell us when you book who is wearing gel, soft-gel or acrylic from somewhere else. We add removal to the plan, with its own slot, so the rest of the group isn't waiting. Please don't pull off gel or soft-gel yourself.

  • Gel removal, about 25 minutes

  • Soft-gel or acrylic removal, about 40 minutes

  • Listed on the sign-up sheet for office days

Tell us the date and the guests

We write back with a plan: who comes, how long it takes and what the room needs.
